Happy 4th of July
I will continue monthly meetings and newsletters.
I will be accessible to constituents and making sure everyone in our
ward has quick and full access to city hall and its various departments
I will start working as soon as I get elected. Constituents can call, text, email or reach out through social media. I will always be accessible.
I will work with residents to identify areas that need improvement in the ward. I understand that communication is key. I will continue to keep residents informed through newsletters, email and social media updates, community meetings and I promise to return all calls in a timely manner.
I will work with DPW on making sure Public Parks and places where families can enjoy their time together are properly maintained and kept in adequate conditions, as well as make sure our streets are properly maintained. I will focus on making sure all streets, including dead ends, are properly swept and plowed. Old trees need to be trimmed or removed before they become a safety issue.
Your neighborhood is my neighborhood. I will continue to be visible in the community as your ward councilor as I have been as a resident. I will continue to help with park cleanups and will support our youth sports leagues and school organizations. I hope that you will join me in these efforts.
I am a firm believer that we also need to grow our commercial tax base. Every community needs a balance of both a strong commercial tax base to complement our residential tax base. Lynn was once a very industrial city. Many of these former industrial sites have now become residential buildings. These were sites that not only added to our commercial tax base but they were places of employment. I am committed to working with other councilors, Mayor’s office, EDIC and City Planners to make sure that we are working hard to bring more businesses to Lynn with great jobs for our residents and more commercial buildings in the city. Being a business owner myself, I will draw on my experience and business connections to help achieve those goals. I will work hard to bring more jobs to the city and better wages.
I am in favor and will advocate for veteran and senior housing and services. I will work hard to ensure our veterans and seniors are taken care of. They were there for us, and now we will be there for them. I will work closely with the Senior Center to help them continue doing the great job they have been doing.
Speeding and illegal dumping are an issue through out the whole ward. I will push for law enforcement and fines on these issues. We need cleaner and safer neighborhoods. We also need better traffic signals, and solid street lights in several intersections.
I strongly believe that with better recycling and composting initiatives, we will be able to create cleaner and safer neighborhoods. This is a great start to tackling our rodent problem.
I will listen to neighbors and work with what will work best to clean our ward. I will work closely with other councilors, mayor's office, state delegation and community members to help clean King's Beach.
Our city's population is growing and we need to make sure that we can sustain our population. With more senior housing and condominiums coming into the city, the number of calls that the Police and Fire Departments will get will increase. We also need to make sure that we have enough ambulances available to the city at any time.
One of the ways we can tackle the violence in our city is by creating more youth programs. If the city's leadership engages more with the community, we will create a better relationship with youth and help guide them through the right paths.
Residents need to have easy access to all city hall departments. We need to work together to make sure that when a residents needs something from city hall, they have easy access to all departments and information.
